This cycle separates fields into two "groups", and cycles the crops in turn. To get an optimal profit return, an extra day is added to the cycle, making it an 8 day cycle, instead of 7 days. This allows one to only hire half the necessary guards, keeping them always working and never resting (Resting guard is the most expensive thing, afterall.)

Excluding the first cycle, one sees Rice Bushels every 4 days in this model.
